The first music, food, art and learning festival is set for Downtown Las Vegas in the fall of 2013. The Life is Beautiful Festival (L.I.B.) is being developed by Aurelian Marketing Group, Another Planet Entertainment, Maktub Marketing and Downtown Project.
Chaired by Bruce & Eric Bromberg of Blue Ribbon Restaurants, the L.I.B. Culinary Advisory Board will provide creative direction and programming for the culinary portion of the two-day festival. Members include some of the leading chefs in the country including Kim Canteenwalla, Scott Conant, Cat Cora, Chris Cosentino, Hubert Keller, Donald Link, Michael Mina, Rick Moonen, Jet Tila and Jonathan Waxman.
The Life is Beautiful Festival will take place on Saturday , October 26th and Sunday, October 27th, 2013 in Downtown Las Vegas and will feature more than 60 musical acts, 50 chefs, special performances by Cirque du Soleil and other theatrical productions, world renowned artists and over 25 noted speakers.
To enhance the foodie experience at the Festival, L.I.B. offers a variety of additional ticketed events. Included in these culinary parties are Take a Stand, The Festival Kick-Off Party: Grills & Guitars, Culinary Crawls and Flight Tastings. All tickets include the cost of food and beverage at the event.
Life is Beautiful Festival announces the 14 additional musical acts that will be performing at the inaugural festival: Vampire Weekend, Janelle Monae, Cults, Joey Bada$$, Smith Westerns, Nico Vega, The Dig and Dreamers. In addition, the festival will also feature Red Bull Sound Select artists Wildcat! Wildcat!, Chancellor Warhol, The Kingston Springs, Children of the Night and Tink.
L.I.B.’s art program will use the festival grounds as its canvas. Comprised of three separate initiatives - RISE ABOVE: A Street Art Program, The Odyssey: A Visual Art Experience, and theatrical performances - art presentations will bring artists out of their traditional studios, galleries or theaters and into the streets of Downtown Las Vegas surrounding guests with up-close-and-personal activations.
